Portland Trail Blazers Transfer Guard CJ Wilcox to Santa Cruz Warriors

SANTA CRUZ, Calif. – The Santa Cruz Warriors announced today that Portland Trail Blazers guard CJ Wilcox has been transferred to the team using the NBA’s flexible assignment rule. Originally signed to a two-way contract on August 9 by the Trail Blazers, the 6’5 guard has been sidelined since October after undergoing arthroscopic knee surgery.

Wilcox, 26, played four seasons at the University of Washington before being selected by the Los Angeles Clippers 28th overall in the 2014 NBA Draft. He has averaged 2.0 points, 0.5 rebounds and 0.5 assists in 66 career games with the Clippers and Orlando Magic. In 30 career games in the NBA G League, Wilcox has tallied 16.9 points, 3.8 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 0.8 steals in 30.4 minutes per game.
