MISSISSAUGA, Ontario, Jan. 11, 2018 – Raptors 905 (15-10) defeated the Santa Cruz Warriors (16-11), 109-83, to tip off Day Two of NBA G League Showcase 2018.
In the loss, James Southerland finished with 24 points and 10 rebounds and Alex Hamilton had 14 points, five assists and four rebounds. Golden State Warriors Center Damian Jones, currently on assignment with Santa Cruz, finished with 10 points, 8 rebounds and 3 blocks, establishing a new franchise record with 123 career rejections.
Lorenzo Brown scored 24 points and dished out 12 assists while Kennedy Meeks netted 17 points and hauled in 18 rebounds as the Raptors 905 snapped the Warriors’ four-game winning streak. Malcolm Miller came off the bench and recorded 15 points and nine rebounds in the victory.
Raptors 905 took control of the game from the beginning, never trailing in the contest and leading by as many as 28 points. Raptors 905 outscored the Warriors in second chance points, 25-10.
Santa Cruz closed out its Showcase 1-1 and next hosts the Reno Bighorns on Jan. 17 at 10 p.m. ET on Facebook Live. Raptors 905 plays its final Showcase game against the Sioux Falls Skyforce on Saturday at 12 p.m. ET on NBA TV.
