Exclusive Ticket Presale For Friday, November 15 Event Begins Wednesday, July 10 for Warriors Insiders
SANTA CRUZ, Calif. – Kaiser Permanente Arena, the home of the Santa Cruz Warriors, announced today that comedian George Lopez’s The Wall world tour will come to Santa Cruz on Friday, November 15 at 7:00 p.m. PST. Lopez’s standup performance, which will start at 7:00 p.m. with doors opening at 5:30 p.m., will be the first comedy show in the seven-year history of Kaiser Permanente Arena.
Santa Cruz Warriors fans who are signed up for Warriors Insider will have access to an exclusive ticket presale beginning Wednesday, July 10 at 1:00 p.m. PDT. Golden State Warriors fans signed up for Warriors Insider will also have an opportunity to access George Lopez tickets later that afternoon at 3:00 p.m. before seats are available to the general public on Friday, July 12 at 10:00 a.m. PDT.
Lopez is a multi-faceted star of television, film, standup and late night comedy. For two seasons, he hosted Lopez Tonight, a late-night television talk show on TBS, which represented Lopez’s return to series television after his groundbreaking hit sitcom George Lopez, which ran for six seasons on ABC. In 2014, Lopez starred in the multi-camera ensemble comedy Saint George on FX, which he also co-created.
Lopez was last seen in the film El Chicano, released on May 3rd alongside Raúl Castillo, Aimee Garcia, and Emilio Rivera. He is also set to star in Walking With Herb opposite Edward James Olmos and Mary McDonnell. He recently wrapped shooting the upcoming crime thriller The Tax Collector with Shia LaBeouf and Lana Parrilla. In 2015, Lopez was seen in the Lionsgate inspirational drama, Spare Parts, which he also produced. Lopez also voiced animated characters in a string of animated blockbuster films including Zook in Gnome Alone, Rafael in Rio and Rio 2 along with Jamie Foxx, Anne Hathaway and Jesse Eisenberg, Thurman in Escape from Planet Earth opposite Jane Lynch and Sofia Vergara, Grouchy Smurf in The Smurfs 1 and 2, and The Beverly Hills Chihuahua 1, 2, and 3. His film credits also include the box-office hit Valentine’s Day directed by Garry Marshall, River Runs Red, Swing Vote, Henry Poole Is Here and Balls of Fury.
Lopez debuted his third solo stand-up special It’s Not Me, It’s You in 2012 on HBO. He has also earned three Grammy nominations for Best Comedy Album for his specials Tall, Dark and Chicano, El Mas Chingon and Team Leader, as well as a published autobiography, Why You Crying? that entered the New York Times Bestseller List Top 20. Lopez was also the focus of the award-winning documentary, Brown is the New Green: George Lopez and the American Dream.
