SIOUX FALLS, SD – The Santa Cruz Warriors (17-15) fell 114-105 to the Sioux Falls Skyforce (16-17) on Friday night at the Sanford Pentagon. The Skyforce now lead the season series 2-0, with the final meeting between the two teams on March 6 in Sioux Falls.
Friday’s game featured four double-doubles for the Santa Cruz Warriors. Center Deyonta Davis finished with a season-high 25 points (12-of-18 FG) and a career-high 17 rebounds. Guard Isaiah Reese added 10 points, 11 rebounds and eight assists, while Andrew Harrison had 17 points and 10 rebounds and Roger Moute a Bidias added 12 points and 10 rebounds.
Skyforce guard Mychal Mulder led the way for Sioux Falls with 25 points, to go along with six rebounds and three steals. Daryl Macon led the Skyforce reserve unit with 21 points, while Bubu Palo finished the night 20 points, nine assists and three steals.
The Warriors went on a 17-4 run to start the game and finished the first quarter with a 31-24 lead, but the Skyforce outscored the Warriors 35-15 in the second quarter to take a 59-46 lead at the half. Sioux Falls pulled away in the second half, extending its lead to as much as 22 points to secure its 16th win of the season.
