Javan Johnson Selected To Play In 2024 NBA G League Up Next Game

SANTA CRUZ, CA – Santa Cruz Warriors forward Javan Johnson has been selected by fan vote to participate in the NBA G League Up Next Game presented by AT&T, the league announced today. The game will take place at NBA All-Star 2024 on Sunday, February 18 at 10:30 a.m. PT at G League Park in NBA Crossover at the Indiana Convention Center. Fans can stream the game on gleague.nba.com, the G League App, the NBA G League’s YouTube channel and the NBA App. 

Johnson is averaging 8.1 points and 2.4 rebounds in 19.4 minutes across 12 regular season games (nine starts). The forward put up season-highs of 19 points against Memphis on January 27 and six assists against Cleveland on January 6. Across 14 Showcase Cup games this season, Johnson averaged 6.4 points and 2.1 rebounds across 15.0 minutes. 

The NBA G League Up Next Game presented by AT&T will feature four teams of seven players competing in two semifinal games. The winner of each semifinal will face off in a Championship game. The teams will be made up of 28 NBA G League players, including 10 selected by a fan vote. The teams will be led by a head coach from the NBA G League and will be drafted by an influencer general manager (Ball is Life, Strictly Bball, Earn your Leisure and Kris London).
