SANTA CRUZ, CA – Kaiser Permanente Arena, home of the Santa Cruz Warriors, has closed as a vaccination clinic as of May 16, after administering over 22,000 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine. The vaccination clinic was run by Kaiser Permanente from March 17 to May 16 and was open to all Santa Cruz County community members.

“We are proud to have been able to partner with the Warriors to bring this vaccination hub to Kaiser Permanente Arena,” said Irene Chavez, Senior Vice President and Area Manager for Kaiser Permanente San Jose and the Santa Cruz County area. “This was a true team effort, and we would like to thank our physicians and staff for their hard work and dedication in getting our community vaccinated. “

The Kaiser Permanente Arena Vaccination Clinic offered Pfizer, Moderna and Johnson & Johnson vaccinations depending upon supply. Kaiser Permanente is still operating vaccination clinics at their Scotts Valley and Watsonville Medical Offices. Visit www.kp.org/covidvaccine for appointment information.

“Kaiser Permanente Arena has offered so much to the Santa Cruz community, from basketball games, concerts, recovery resource center, and we are so happy to add ‘COVID-19 Vaccination Clinic’ to that list,” said Santa Cruz Warriors President Chris Murphy.
