By Santa Cruz Warriors Staff /September 14, 2021
SANTA CRUZ, CA – The Santa Cruz Warriors have announced the regular season schedule for the team’s upcoming 2021-22 season, presented by Kaiser Permanente. The season tips off with a home back-to-back against the Stockton Kings on November 5 and 6 at Kaiser Permanente Arena.
“We’re excited to welcome fans back to Kaiser Permanente Arena for the 2021-22 season,” said Santa Cruz Warriors President Chris Murphy. “We look forward to safely hosting the best fans in the NBA G League for an exciting Opening Weekend of Sea Dubs basketball.”
All G League teams begin the 2021-22 season with 12 games, followed by two games in Las Vegas for the Showcase Cup. Team records will reset for the final 36 games of the season to determine playoff seeding. The Warriors will play nine back-to-backs throughout the season, with seven being played at home. Santa Cruz finishes the regular season with eight home games in March, with six of their final nine games at home. In an effort to reduce the amount of travel throughout the season, Santa Cruz will only play Western Conference opponents this season.
Opening Weekend will feature a t-shirt giveaway for all fans on November 5 and Local Heroes Night on November 6, honoring Santa Cruz Sheriff’s Sergeant Damon Gutzwiller, who tragically lost his life in the line of duty in June 2020. A portion of ticket sales will go to the Gutz’s Kids Education Fund.
The Santa Cruz Warriors, the 2020-21 NBA G League Franchise of the Year, have full-season, half-season and eight-game plans on sale now. Full-season memberships start at just $17/game and include exclusive benefits. Ticket plans are available by calling (831) 713-4400 or visiting santacruzbasketball.com. Single game tickets will be made available for the first time at the Sea Dubs Fan Fest on September 26. For more information on the Sea Dubs Fan Fest, click HERE.
All home games will continue to feature a giveaway for at least the first 1,000 fans in attendance, continuing a tradition that dates back to the 2019-20 season. The Sea Dubs have sold out 95 consecutive home games and look to build upon that streak when the season resumes early in November 2021.
As of September 20, 2021, the State of California requires that attendance at gatherings of 1,000 people or more requires fans to provide proof of full vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test, administered within 72 hours of the event, for venue entry. The Santa Cruz County Health Officer issued a health order on August 21, 2021, that requires all individuals to wear a face covering when indoors, regardless of vaccination status. The Santa Cruz Warriors will continue to follow all recommendations provided by the State of California and the County of Santa Cruz Health Services Agency.
