Santa Cruz Warriors Beat G League Ignite, 125-100

The Santa Cruz Warriors (1-2), beat the G League Ignite (3-2), 125-100, on Thursday night at the Dollar Loan Center in Henderson, NV, notching their first win of the regular season. The Warriors set a franchise record by dishing out 40 assists as a team in the contest. 

Guard Dusty Hannahs and forward Gui Santos both finished with 25 points for the Warriors tonight. Guard Zeke Moore added 21 points and forward Lester Quinones notched 16 points, 13 assists and seven rebounds in the Sea Dubs win.

Forward Leonard Miller finished with 17 points and eight rebounds for the Ignite, and guard London Johnson added 10 points and seven rebounds. Guard Marcus Graves closed out the night with 12 points and seven assists. 

The Warriors led by as many as 10 points in the first quarter, however a late push by the Ignite, including a three-point shot at the buzzer by Graves, closed the Warriors lead to 33-30 going into the second frame. Back-to-back three-point shots by Hannahs late in the second quarter extended the Santa Cruz lead to 67-53 at the half. The contest saw a franchise-high 26 assists on 28 makes for the Sea Dubs in the first half. 

The Warriors went on a 9-0 run to lead by as many as 19 points in the third quarter, but the Ignite brought the score to within 11 points, 89-78, with less than two minutes remaining in the frame. A three-point shot by Moore at the buzzer helped bring the Warriors lead back to 14 points, 97-83, going into the final quarter. Santa Cruz propelled their lead to 25 points in the fourth quarter to secure their first win of the regular season, 125-100.
