Santa Cruz Warriors Fall to Windy City Bulls, 116-112

The Santa Cruz Warriors (7-9) fell to the Windy City Bulls (7-9), 116-112, on Thursday afternoon at NOW Arena in Hoffman Estates, IL.

Forward Patrick Baldwin Jr., on assignment from Golden State, led the Warriors with 23 points and added seven rebounds. Guard Jerome Robinson added 19 points and seven assists and center Jayce Johnson added 17 rebounds and seven points.

Guard Javon Freeman-Liberty led the Bulls with a double-double, notching 18 points and 12 rebounds off the bench. Forward Henri Drell also secured a double-double with 14 points and 10 rebounds and forward Malcolm Hill and guards Ethan Thompson and Carlik Jones added 17 points each in the win.

The game was competitive throughout the first quarter, with 10 points from Robinson giving the Warriors a 29-26 lead heading into the second quarter. The Bulls gained momentum in the second frame and outscored the Warriors 41-29 to go into the second half leading 67-58.

The contest featured five lead changes in the third quarter, but two made free throws from Windy City tied the game at 92 with 4.7 seconds remaining in the quarter. The lead went back and forth in the fourth quarter, but free throws by forward Aaron Wheeler with 2.3 seconds left in the game secured the 116-112 win for the Bulls.
