CEDAR PARK, TX – The Santa Cruz Warriors (14-11) toppled the Austin Spurs (12-11), 101-94, on Wednesday night at H-E-B Center.

Two-way guard Pat Spencer and forward Javonte Green came off the bench to lead the Warriors with 39 combined points – Spencer scored 20 points and Green followed closely with 19 points – and seven rebounds each in the road win. Guard Donovan Williams notched 16 points and five rebounds, and guard Yuri Collins added 12 points off the bench while shooting 3-for-3 from deep. Center Amida Brimah ended the night with seven points, eight rebounds, and five blocks, putting him three blocks away from breaking the all-time NBA G League blocks record.

The Spurs were led by two-way guard David Duke Jr. with 25 points, six rebounds, and five assists. Guard Sidy Cissoko, on assignment from the San Antonio Spurs, contributed 18 points off the bench, and newly acquired two-way guard Jamaree Bouyea notched a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds in his first game with Austin.

The start of the contest saw both teams evenly matched before the Spurs pulled ahead to lead by five with under a minute left in the opening period. However, a three-pointer from Green cut into the Austin lead with time expiring, and the Sea Dubs ended the first quarter narrowly trailing 25-23. The Warriors orchestrated an 11-0 run amidst a four-minute Spurs scoring drought late in the second frame to overtake the home side and boost Santa Cruz to a 55-45 lead heading into the break.

A 7-0 Santa Cruz run at the start of the second half gave the Sea Dubs a 62-45 lead – their largest of the game – with 9:36 left in the period. The Spurs responded with a promising 8-0 run, but the Warriors continued to battle on both ends of the court to end the quarter with a 77-68 advantage. Despite a hard-fought effort by Austin to close the gap in the final frame, Santa Cruz held on to come away with a 101-94 win to end their five-game road trip.
