Events Across Santa Cruz County To Support Local Community Members And Spread Holiday Cheer
SANTA CRUZ, CA – As part of the NBA Cares Season of Giving league-wide campaign, the Santa Cruz Warriors will host events throughout the month to brighten the lives of Santa Cruz County families and youth this holiday season. Members of the Santa Cruz Warriors organization will engage with disadvantaged families, youth with life-threatening medical conditions and local community groups to spread holiday cheer.
“This year, more than ever, we are so happy to be here to support our community,” said Santa Cruz Warriors President Chris Murphy. “It has been a hard year for all of Santa Cruz County between COVID-19 and the CZU Lightning Complex Fires. We are happy to bring some holiday cheer to these organizations and are so proud of the generosity from our staff and fans.”
The Santa Cruz Warriors also engaged in Season of Giving events for Thanksgiving that included volunteering at Pajaro Valley Loaves and Fishes and delivering Thanksgiving gift bags and meal gift cards to members of the Watsonville Mariposa Wellness Program.
