Warriors Acquire Jaquori Mclaughlin In Trade With Legends

SANTA CRUZ, CA – The Santa Cruz Warriors have acquired guard JaQuori McLaughlin via a trade with the Texas Legends in exchange for a future first round and second round pick (both via Windy City) in the 2022 NBA G League draft.

McLaughlin was most recently on a two-way contract with the Dallas Mavericks prior to being waived on January 10, 2022. During his two-way contract, McLaughlin played in 12 games for the Texas Legends and four games for the Dallas Mavericks.

McLaughlin went undrafted in the 2021 NBA Draft and joined the Golden State Warriors Summer League roster where he averaged 10.2 points, 4.4 rebounds and 5.8 assists. McLaughlin attended Oregon State University prior to transferring to UC Santa Barbara and averaged 11.9 points, 2.9 rebounds and 3.9 assists during his collegiate career. He was named the 2021 Big West Player of the Year in his final season at UC Santa Barbara.

McLaughlin will wear number 40 for Santa Cruz and will be available for Monday’s game against the Stockton Kings at Kaiser Permanente Arena, home of the Santa Cruz Warriors. Tipoff is set for 1 p.m. PST.
