Warriors Complete Trade To Acquire Eighteenth Overall Pick Isaiah Ross In Three-Team Trade

Team Also Acquires Ledoux, Lyle And Mooring in 2021 NBA G League Draft

SANTA CRUZ, CA – The Santa Cruz Warriors, the NBA G League affiliate of the Golden State Warriors, have acquired four players in this morning’s 2021 NBA G League Draft. Santa Cruz completed a three-team trade to acquire the 18th overall pick Isaiah Ross from the Maine Celtics, sending the 12th overall pick Alan Griffin to the Rio Grande Valley Vipers. The team also traded the returning player rights of Isaiah Reese to the College Park Skyhawks for the 30th overall pick Kalob Ledoux. The team then selected JaQuan Lyle (51st overall pick) in the second round and Jovan Mooring (79th overall pick) in the third round of today’s draft.

Ross (6-4, 200, Iona) started his collegiate career at the University of Missouri-Kansas City before transferring to Iona University for his final two collegiate seasons. During his senior year, Ross averaged 18.4 points and 3.9 rebounds in 18 games (18 starts).

Ledoux (6-4, 190, Louisiana Tech) played his first two collegiate seasons at McNeese State University before transferring to Louisiana Tech. During his senior season, Ledoux averaged 11.6 points in 28 games (19 starts).

Lyle (6-5, 210, New Mexico State) most recently played with Kolossos Rodou B.C. in Greece. Lyle played two collegiate seasons at Ohio State and then transferred to New Mexico State University where he averaged 14.9 points and 4.6 assists over 29 games (28 starts) during his senior season.

Mooring (6-2, 205, UNLV) has spent time in the NBA G League with the Grand Rapids Drive and Fort Wayne Mad Ants and has averaged 10.7 points and 3.4 assists. Mooring was originally selected 13th overall in the 2018 NBA G League draft by the Grand Rapids Drive. Mooring finished his collegiate career at UNLV averaging 13.2 points and 3.7 assists.

The 2021-22 Santa Cruz Warriors will be led by first year Head Coach Seth Cooper and will open the regular season at Kaiser Permanente Arena, home of the Santa Cruz Warriors, on November 5 against the Stockton Kings at 7 p.m. PT.
