Warriors Earn First Win Of Season Against Knicks, 124-116

ORLANDO, FL – The Santa Cruz Warriors (1-2) beat the Westchester Knicks (2-1) Saturday night for their first win of the 2020-21 NBA G League season, 124-116. Jeremy Lin scored a G League season-high 29 points and went 7-of-9 from behind the arc in the victory.

The Knicks maintained the lead most of the fourth before two-way guard Nico Mannion hit a three with 1:14 left to give the Warriors the lead (118-116) and held on for their first win of the season.

Golden State assignment guard Jordan Poole added 26 points and Mannion had 22 points. All five Warriors starters were in double digits for the first sine since February 28, 2020. Dwayne Sutton earned his first start and double-double of the season (11 points, 12 rebounds).

The game saw 15 first-half lead changes, with the Warriors taking a three-point lead into halftime, 63-60, the first time they have led at the half this season. The game was tied at 89 apiece entering the fourth quarter.

Knicks guard Myles Powell led Westchester with 24 points. Tyler Hall went 6-of-10 from three to finish the game with 21 points. The Knicks also had all five starters in double digits.
