Warriors Lose To Raptors, 135-125

ORLANDO, FL – The Santa Cruz Warriors (1-3) lost to the Raptors 905 (2-2) on Monday night at AdventHealth Arena, 135-125. Golden State Warriors assignment guard Jordan Poole set a new NBA G league season high with 32 points (25 points in second half) and Golden State Warriors two-way guard Nico Mannion scored a season-high 24 points in the loss.

Santa Cruz jumped out to an 11-2 start but the 905 countered with an 11-0 run as part of a back-and-forth first frame that saw all three of the game’s lead changes. The Warriors evened the score several times in the second quarter but could not eclipse the 905, who pulled away in the fourth quarter, leading by as many as 17 on their way to a double-digit victory.

The 905 hit 50.5 percent from the field (50-of-99) and scored 62 points in the paint to even their record at 2-2.

In his Warriors debut, Nate Hinton (flex-assigned from the Dallas Mavericks) scored nine points and seven rebounds off the bench. Jeremy Lin tallied 17 points and eight assists while Ryan Taylor was a perfect 4-of-4 from the field for 11 points.

The 905 were led by Toronto Raptors assignment guard Malachi Flynn, who recorded the highest scoring game of the G League season with 35 points on 13-of-19 from the field. Raptors two-way Jalen Harris added 22 points and seven rebounds and Alzie Johnson finished with a double-double (12 points, 13 rebounds).
